United States T&F NJ Junior Olympic Meet Record

Palisades Park, New Jersey, June 9, 2012 Overpeck Park Twelve-year-old Matias Pellegrino of Denville, New Jersey won 1st place in the Midget Boys Long Jump with a record jump of 5.18 meters (17 feet) at the 2012 United States Track and Field NJ Junior Olympic T&F Championships. The previous record of 5.03 was set in 2007. Pellegrino also took second place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.01) and fifth place in the 100 meter dash posting time of 13.49. Matias advances to the USATF Region 2 Junior Olympic Outdoor Track And Field Championships competing in the Long Jump, 100 and 200 meter Dash.
